The Ramboll Foundation donates 1m DKK to UNHCR in Ukraine
The Ramboll Foundation is deeply troubled by the conflict in Ukraine and therefore pledges to donate DKK 1 million to support UNHCR, the UN Refugee Agency, in their work within Ukraine and in bordering regions. Helping victims of conflict resonates well with the humanitarian spirit of our founders.
UNHCR estimates that more than half a million Ukrainians are already now refugees in neighboring countries – and many are displaced inside Ukraine. These numbers are increasing by the day. There is an imminent risk of large-scale displacement both within the country, and in neighboring countries that are facing new humanitarian needs as a consequence of the conflict.
Our donation will fund UNHCR´s efforts in supporting the most vulnerable people – such as unaccompanied children, elderly people, and individuals with disabilities - to help them get the support they need, including by establishment of transit centers and temporary accommodation.
